Bill was born in St. Jean, Quebec, one of six children.
Fluent in French and English, he went back and forth for his education in
Ontario, Quebec and New Brunswick, earning a B.Ed in 1973. From 1968-73 Bill was a part time bi-lingual High School
chemistry and Biology teacher at Temiscaming HS. Bill and Ann have two children, Alex and Jennifer, and two
grandchildren; Clara and Hannah who are the light of his life. The Clarks
settled in North Bay. Bill is an amateur radio enthusiast, search and
rescue volunteer and a specialist in gambling and addiction. Bill has been
owner of Gambling Watch Global, an online research blog since
2004. |
Jim, president of Toronto Conference of AOTS has been an activist in the United Church and commissioner to General Council for several years. After studying marketing at Ryerson Polytechnical Institute, Jim worked for Pepsi Cola for several years. In 1978 became president of the workers union a position he held for 5 years. He later managed his own communications consulting practice working
with Toronto Learning Annex ,then Statistics Canada. In 2008 he joined
Brown Consulting Group where he provides leadership, management and
communication consultation. Together with his wife Cynthia Gunn they have a blended family with five children and two grandchildren. Jim also serves as a trustee of Beach United Church and as a member of
the Toronto United Church Council’s Seven Years of Plenty Advisory
Panel. |
